How Taken

Warnings/Precautions

Before taking Propecia, inform your doctor if have liver disease. You may not been able to use Prevacid or your dosage may have to be adjusted, or you may have to be monitored during the treatment. Propecia should be used only by men. Women should not use the medicine. Propecia falls into the FDA pregnancy category X which means they cause defects to a fetus. Propecia causes birth defects in developing male babies. Pregnant women should avoid exposure to whole tablets though they are not expected to be harmful unless they are not swallowed. Missed Dose

In case you miss a dose, take the missed tablet as soon as you remember. However, if it is already time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and take the regular dose. Do not take a double dose to catch up the missed one.

Possible Side Effects

Discontinue the usage of Propecia and search for medical help if you experience an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives).
Other less serious adverse effects may occur. Consult your doctor but do not stop using Propecia if you have:
-decreased libido (sex drive);
-decreased volume of ejaculate;
-impotence (trouble getting or keeping an erection); or
-breast tenderness or enlargement.
You may also experience other adverse effects that are not mentioned in this leaflet. Consult your doctor if you experience some other side effects.

Storage

Propecia should be stored at a room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container. Protect the medicine from moisture.

Overdose

Immediately search for medical help if you suspect an overdose. The symptoms of an overdose of Propecia are not known.

More Information

You should not share the medicine with other people for whom it has not been prescribed. Do not use Propecia to treat other medicine conditions. Keep the medicine away from children. In case you use Propecia for a longer period, make sure to supply with the needed quantities of the medicine.
